The Professional Association Iranian of Women Entrepreneurs(AIWE) was registered in March 2004 at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs upon the initiative of a number of entrepreneurs and business owners with the objective of disseminating the entrepreneurial culture among Iranian women.

The founders and members of the association draw upon a wealth of experience in the field of entrepreneurship and creation of new businesses. They exchanged views and sensed the necessity to form a professional association. Thus, they would not only contribute to the development of management potentials of entrepreneurs, but would also interact with main actors in the business environment such as the government, related NGOs, and public institutions such as banks and universities. In addition, grounds for the development of young talents with creative entrepreneurial ideas would be paved.

The encouragement of entrepreneurship among the country’s young population is an effective approach that can lead to the optimization of resource utilization and opportunity identification. In the process, with the encouragement of creativity and innovation, grounds for the creation of new innovative businesses will be paved.
